May is 15 years old. She was born on April first of 2000. Her registered name is Maeve Triste. 18.2 hand purebred Clydesdale I do not have her papers. She is a true gentile giant and has been the biggest attraction to visitors at our facility. May has been in our lesson program for the past 8 months helping teach the basics of riding and doing trail rides. She has full beautiful feathers, a lush long tail, and the softest kind eyes. May has good solid feet but very deep frogs so its important to pick them frequently. She is kind, sound and calm. She stands well for bathing, isn't crazy about the clippers but she does calm down with them. May enjoys doing small jumps especially natural ones out on the trails. She is a great trail horse and will lead or follow. Not spooky but she will occasionally jump in place if something startles her. She is always willing to walk and trot, needs a little convincing for the canter. She has bucked under saddle during a canter departure but Its not a regular thing and she has never dismounted a rider (except ONE TIME it was a bareback lesson and they were trotting, the rider just bounced right off!)

May needs a rider who has decent balance and that isnt going to cause the saddle to slide as she does go out of alignment from sloppy mounts and dismounts and that is something that is unavoidable given her size and the fact that most riders getting on her are beginners. We have been having the chiropractor adjust her every 3 months and its very effective in keeping her comfortable and willing to work. May is offered for on farm lease.  Located at The Lazy Horse Equine Center in Poulsbo, Washington State. Please contact Jessie at 631-404-2153 with questions or to schedule a time to meet May.

Chaps in an 10 year old Appaloosa gelding standing at approximately 14.1 hh. He is an excellent trail horse, a proven show horse, and is an amazing lesson horse. Chaps is the original “Lazy Horse” that helped inspire the Lazy Horse Equine Center. He has taught many people to ride English, Western, bareback, and jump. Chaps is able to slow to a pleasure style trot but is also able to move out nicely. He is very well balanced and collets beautifully.

Chaps trailers, bathes, ties, braids, UTD on all vet care, worming, feet, and recently had his teeth floated. He can be a little stubborn and likes to try and test your abilities, but has never been dangerous. He would be perfect for someone looking to learn on a patient horse or for someone looking for a proven show pony. Chaps is available for on-site lease at the Lazy Horse Equine Center in Poulsbo, WA. We boast the following amenities; Indoor arena, round pen, local trails, hauling to local shows, on-site training and lessons, and a large grassy field to ride in. Charlotte is a 17 year old Haflinger/Quarter Horse cross and stands at approximately 14.2 hh. She is an excellent trail horse and also is good in the arena. She rides in either an S-Hack or an egg butt snaffle. Charlotte can slow to a pleasure style trot but is also able to extend out nicely. She has an amazing rocking horse canter that is perfect for beginners to learn on. She is well balanced and can collect nicely; western, English, and bareback.

Charlotte has been in training for a year and a half and has become an excellent lesson horse. She is best suited for an advanced beginner or higher. Riot is a 10 year old non registered breeding stock paint gelding. He stands at approximately 15.1 hh. He has been in training for a year and a half now and has become a great lesson horse for our farm. He does considerably better with a consistent rider of his own so at this point he is being offered for on-site lease. He is a dark chestnut with a fun blaze and one blue eye. He goes western, English, and bareback. He loads, ties, bathes, and does not buck. Riot has matching white saddle sores on his withers from years ago, so it’s very important to insure the tack being used fits him correctly to prevent further damage to his back.

Riot knows his leads and is a very big mover. He’s a good trail horse, safe with low traffic, and in a group or riding out alone. He usually stands to mount both from the block and the ground. Riot has been introduced to cross rails but he needs more work on balance before he could excel in jumping. He is not a horse that I would recommend for gaming as he can get hot. Riot is best suited for an advanced beginner or higher.
